This table lamp emits a soft, harmonious and pleasant light that is mainly directed downwards. Poul Henningsen used his well-known three-shade system as the basis for this lamp. He designed this system in 1925 with the aim of giving attractive, glare-free light a shape. The first lamp to use this three-shade system was developed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. The lamp has a toggle switch on the cable with which it can be switched on and off. Mouth-blown craftsmanship: each piece is unique and may vary slightly from the images Made in Denmark
I love this lamp for its bold, sculptural silhouette and versatile appeal. It works especially well in minimalist or modern interiors, where it can serve as a statement piece on sideboards or desks. The mouth-blown glass gives it a subtle touch of craftsmanship, adding texture and visual interest. For styling tips, pair it with neutral or monochrome decor to let the lamp’s unique shape stand out, or incorporate it into a layered vignette with curated accessories. It’s also practical for creating warm, diffused lighting - perfect for both reading and ambient glow. Just ensure it’s placed where it can be appreciated without overwhelming a space; its distinctive profile speaks for itself.
