Description

Inspire a stylish look for your tablescapes with the Agnes Flakestone Table Lamp in Polished Nickel. The polished nickel finish adds a touch of modernity, while the milky flakestone glass base offers a gorgeous decorative focal point to the room. Diffusing a stunning glow into the room with a white shade, this table lamp becomes a stylish addition to your living room, bedroom, or entryway.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Agnes Flakestone table lamp for its clean, contemporary look with a touch of understated luxury. Its nickel finish adds a subtle metallic sheen that works particularly well in modern and transitional interiors, especially when paired with textures like velvet, linen, or glass. It's versatile enough to sit on a bedside table, console, or sideboard, making it an easy styling piece that elevates a space without overpowering it. To style it effectively, consider complementing it with soft textiles or decorative objects that pick up the nickel tone for a cohesive look; using warm bulbs can also create inviting ambient lighting that highlights its elegant shape.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
