Description

Finish your kitchen off on a high with this bar table and stool set. If your taste is traditional, you'll love the Habitat Chicago's classic look. In a bright, airy off-white and wood design, it's two-tone finish offers a touch of country cottage charm. This hardwearing solid wood set comes complete with 2 bar stools that perfectly complement the Chicago's homely style.

Our Stylist Says

I love this set for its clean, timeless design and versatile two-tone finish, which adds subtle interest without overwhelming a space. The solid wood construction lends durability and quality, making it ideal for both casual breakfast areas and compact bar corners. It works well in a variety of interiors, from rustic and farmhouse styles to modern or Scandinavian schemes, especially when paired with neutral or soft-toned accessories. For styling tips, consider adding a cosy runner or placemats to the table for a welcoming vibe, and incorporate cushions or throws on the chairs for extra comfort and colour. Its compact size makes it perfect for smaller spaces or breakfast nooks, while the straightforward aesthetic allows it to blend seamlessly into more eclectic or minimalist interiors.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
