The cushioned seat pad sits between the gently curved ends. Underneath, 2 slatted shelves give you room to store lots of footwear including wellies and boots. At over 3ft wide and under 2ft high, this shoe bench will be a great fit for a hallway, porch or kitchen. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
