I’m a big fan of this Hickory oak shoe unit for its clean lines and neutral tone - it slips effortlessly into Scandi, modern farmhouse or minimalist hallways without overwhelming the space. The slim two-door design keeps up to eight pairs neatly tucked away, while the flip-down fronts give easy access when you’re dashing out the door.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
