I’m a big fan of this black metal bed frame for its clean lines and geometric head- and footboard - it’s a versatile piece that slots easily into industrial, Scandi-inspired or minimalist schemes. The matt-black finish acts as a strong anchor against pale walls and timber floors, while the open frame keeps the look light. To style it practically, layer crisp white or stone-coloured linens with a textured throw at the foot, then add a couple of bold, patterned cushions for a pop of colour. Pair with simple bedside tables and warm metal or ceramic lamps to introduce depth, and finish with a leafy plant or two to soften the metalwork.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
