Description
Since the early 2000s, the work of brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec has emerged as one of the most representative of the dynamism of French design. Working as a pair since 1998, the two brothers now design for numerous industrialists, while pursuing experimental research. The Corniches were born from the need for small improvised storage spaces for various objects. “Just as we hang our things on a rock protruding from a cliff before diving into the sea, we need small informal storage spaces every day”, explains Ronan Bouroullec. That’s why the Corniches are neither classic shelves nor simple horizontal surfaces, but rather individual, isolated outgrowths in the environments we create. Whether storing keys by the front door, having everything within reach in the bathroom, a display surface for a small collection of objects or a large installation, the Corniches offer a new way to use walls in our living space. They’re made of high-quality plastic in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours.
