Description

The Viola Chandelier is the perfect example of how easy it is to bring sophistication and class into the comfort of your own home. Elegantly decorated with crystal effect droplets, this light instantly adds glamour into your home whilst featuring a modern twist on the traditional candelabrum. The chandelier displays five exposed bulbs which shimmer and shine in any room.

Our Stylist Says

I love the chandelier for its sleek chrome finish, which adds a modern and reflective touch to any space. It's particularly versatile, working well in contemporary interiors or even to add a touch of glamour to more classic rooms like dining areas or living rooms. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalist decor to let the chandelier stand out, or layer with warm lighting in softer colour schemes for a more inviting feel. Practical tips include hanging it at the right height - generally around 30-36 inches above a dining table or seating area - and ensuring the bulbs are of a warm tone to enhance the reflective qualities of the chrome and crystals. Its statement design will anchor a room effortlessly while adding a touch of sophistication.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
