Description

Centrepiece lighting designs for modern interiors with the Carmella Cluster Ceiling Pendant with Smoked and Frosted Shades. This ceiling pendant comes in a stunning satin chrome finish for a sleek aesthetic that looks ideal in contemporary decor. It also features a cascading array of individual pendants, each with sleek smoked glass shades which encase inner frosted glass shades to diffuse a stunning warm-toned glow outwards into your room, ideal for any stairwell or kitchen island.

Our Stylist Says

The Carmella Cluster is a fantastic choice for adding contemporary elegance to a space. I love how the smoked and frosted shades bring a sophisticated contrast that works well in modern or minimalist interiors, especially when paired with sleek chrome fixtures. It's versatile enough to fit in areas like dining rooms, living rooms, or even kitchens with a high ceiling. For styling, I recommend keeping surrounding décor minimal to let the pendant be the statement piece, while softer textiles like velvet cushions or matte-finish furniture can complement its reflective surface. Be mindful of the height; hanging it slightly lower over a dining table can create an inviting focal point without overpowering the room.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
