I’m a big fan of the Vara bed for its soft, ruched velvet and low-slung silhouette, which give a relaxed but refined feel. In a contemporary or Scandi-inspired scheme its muted grey-blue hue works beautifully against pale walls and light timber floors, while contrasting cushions in ochre or deep charcoal will add depth without overwhelming the palette.
Styling tip: keep bedding simple - think crisp white sheets - and layer a textured throw at the foot to highlight the bed’s curves. Position slimline bedside tables and a low bench at the end to maintain that clean, uncluttered look.
