Description

'The Many Faces of Red' by Josef Albers is beautifully transformed into an elegant rug by Christopher Farr, offering the unique opportunity to invest in a stunning encounter between art and textiles. Exquisitely hand-tufted by artisans using mill-spun wool, the rug recreates Albers’ original artwork, reflecting Albers’ belief that colour, as opposed to form, “is the primary medium of pictorial language. ”. Since 1988, Christopher Farr has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design. Utilising only the finest yarn and dyes and collaborating with the most talented weavers from across the world, the creation of a Farr piece is a painstaking process that results in rugs that are nothing less than works of art.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its bold, graphic statement and versatility. Its abstract, layered red tones make it a standout piece that works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, adding warmth and colour without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral furniture to let the rug shine, or contrasting it with softer textiles for a modern yet cosy feel. It’s especially effective in living rooms or bedrooms where you want to inject colour and personality, but it can also serve as a striking focal point in more restrained interiors. Just ensure the surrounding decor complements the varied shades of red for a cohesive look.
