Description

Stonewashed Light Grey Cotton Bedding Set

Our Stylist Says

I love this light grey stonewashed coverlet for its relaxed, versatile vibe that easily complements various interior styles. Its subdued tone makes it perfect for a minimalist or contemporary bedroom, while the stonewashed finish adds a touch of casual luxury that works well in coastal or Scandinavian settings. To elevate the look, consider pairing it with textured cushions or cosy throws in neutral or muted colours. Practical styling tips include layering with a chunky knit or linen duvet cover for added warmth and visual interest, and keeping bed linens crisp and simple to let the understated colour and texture shine. It’s an effortlessly stylish choice that balances comfort with refined simplicity.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
