Description

Improve your dining experience with our Orange Velvet Quilted Dining Chair. Boasting a fixed foam seat and back cushion, it promises lasting comfort and resilience. The distinctive quilted stitch pattern adds a touch of sophistication, while the robust metal base, elegantly finished in black powder coating, ensures both style and durability for years to come. A truly remarkable addition that seamlessly combines comfort, design, and unique style

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this orange velvet dining chair for its sturdy, slim-leg frame and the way the quilted back adds just enough texture without overpowering a room. The warm, autumnal hue delivers a lift to neutral schemes and works equally well in Scandi-inspired spaces, urban lofts with industrial accents or even a classic country kitchen looking for a modern twist. For styling, balance its bold tone with a light oak or pale marble table and introduce soft greys, muted greens or simple black metal accessories to ground the look. A jute runner beneath your dining setup or a row of low-profile plants on a sideboard will keep the focus on the chair’s rich velvet while maintaining a relaxed, uncluttered feel.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
