Description
Designed by STUDIOPEPE, Relevo is a soft rug with a distinct, sculptural quality. Its captivating graphic pattern is produced by cutting the tufted wool on different levels, creating an eye-catching play of shadows that gives the impression that the piece is two-tone rather than monochrome. The unique, rounded corner of the rug gives it a singular character, creating a dynamic expression in any environment. The Relevo rug is made with 100% New Zealand wood that is hand-tufted in India. STUDIOPEPE on the design of Relevo: "The Relevo rug first came to be through the medium of pencil on paper. We love creating a whole story around a project, this time with a rug that could be a sculpture in its own right, practically changing the perception of a piece. The elongated lines of Relevo are inspired by land art and its criss-crossed, hypnotic lines in the ground. The geometric pattern of the rug is created with different levels, resulting in a subtle play on light and shadows.
