Description

Our handmade Gansu Table Lamp Base takes inspiration for its shape and decoration from ancient Chinese pottery. The porcelain is hand painted withdeep red motifs by a small group of talented artisans who have honed their craft over many generationsin Jingdezhen, China, a city known for its rich history in traditional porcelain design. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Gansu table lamp base for its striking colour and elegant porcelain craftsmanship. The Chinese Red adds a vibrant touch, making it a great statement piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors. It works particularly well in spaces that feature neutral palettes, where it can really stand out, or in Asian-inspired or eclectic settings to emphasise cultural elements. For practical styling, pair it with a neutral or patterned fabric lampshade to soften the look, and consider placing it on a side table or console with natural materials or antique accents for a layered, curated feel. Keep in mind that its bold colour makes it a versatile anchor piece that can elevate both cosy corners and more polished, formal rooms.
