Description

The unique shape and rich antique brass of our handcrafted Nalgonda table lamp makes it a striking addition to any room. The decorative pattern has been carefully applied using traditional tools. The lamp showcases the handmade process with an exposed soldered join. These artisan touches and irregularities add an individual charm to each lamp. | nkuku Nalgonda Lamp | Lamps | Antique Brass | Small

Our Stylist Says

I love this small Nkuku Nalgonda lamp for its warm antique brass finish, which adds a subtle touch of elegance and versatility. It's ideal for creating ambient lighting in both cosy living rooms and relaxed bedrooms, especially on side tables or shelves where it can serve as a gentle glow rather than a main light source. Styling-wise, it pairs beautifully with natural textures and earthy tones, making it well-suited to boho, rustic, or Scandinavian interiors. For a balanced look, keep the surrounding decor simple, and use the brass finish to enhance other metallic accents or complement wooden elements. Practical tip: because it's small, it's perfect for table lamps, but make sure it’s positioned where it won’t be overshadowed or blocked from view to maximise its visual appeal and functional light.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
