Description

This tealight holder features a dusky blend of navy and smoke tones, creating a soft, ambient glow when lit. The layered colour and subtle rustic finish add depth and interest, making it perfect for seasonal styling or year-round atmosphere. A simple yet striking accent for shelves, tables, or cosy corners.

Our Stylist Says

I love the nkuku Etti tealight holder for its versatile, understated colour palette and modern silhouette. The navy and smoke tones lend themselves well to both contemporary and rustic interiors, offering a subtle pop of colour without overpowering the space. They work particularly well in cosy living rooms, bedrooms, or even outdoor settings as they create a warm, inviting glow. For practical styling, I recommend grouping different sizes together on a wooden tray or shelf for visual interest, or mixing them with other textured accessories like ceramics or greenery to add depth. Their muted tones make them ideal as accent pieces that can seamlessly blend into various colour schemes while still adding mood lighting when in use.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
