Our eight-seater Murcell dining table has been reimagined in a limited-edition Blue quartzite design. Referencing the marble pieces seen throughout Soho House Rome, this oval dining table is constructed with a Brazilian Blue quartzite top. This particular stone features earthy tones and different shades of blue in a unique pattern formation. A ribbed oak-finish pedestal base and antique brass plating to the base creates contrast in a modern mix of materials.

I’m a fan of this oval quartzite table for its clean lines and the subtle blue-grey veining, which adds just the right amount of interest without overwhelming a scheme. It works equally well in a minimalist or Scandi-inspired dining room, as well as in more eclectic spaces where you might layer in brass or timber accents. For styling, keep your centrepiece simple - a low ceramic bowl or a couple of glass vases with fresh foliage - and consider pairing it with mixed-material seating (think upholstered chairs alongside sleek metal frames) to soften the stone top and create a pulled-together look.
