Description

Design. A modern take on industrial style. The keeler Benny Circle Table is nothing short of unique. With its rustic inspired tabletop and strong metal legs, this is a piece that nods to mid-century influences but would work well in a modern setting. Reclaimed wood is the key component in this design, giving the Benny table a distressed edge that is filled with character.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this little side table because of its straightforward, rustic charm. The reclaimed wood top adds warmth and character, making it versatile for both contemporary and more traditional interiors. It works especially well in living rooms or bedrooms where you want to introduce a natural element, and it can also function as a handy surface beside a sofa or bed. For styling, consider grouping it with other natural textures like woven baskets or soft textiles to enhance its organic feel. Don’t be afraid to layer it with a small table lamp, a stack of books, or a decorative bowl-its simple silhouette makes it easy to adapt to various colour schemes and interior styles.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
