I’m a fan of the Brooklyn oak sideboard for its warm, reclaimed-oak finish set on a slim metal plinth - it instantly brings a touch of industrial-Scandi character without feeling heavy. Its clean lines and muted tones make it equally at home in a minimalist apartment or a more eclectic, boho-inspired space, and the mix of drawers and cupboards means it works hard in both dining and living rooms.
For styling, keep about a third of the top clear to let the grain show through, then cluster items of varying heights - a tall lamp or vase, a low stack of art books and a small plant. If it’s against a blank wall, hang a mirror or a simple, framed print slightly off-centre to balance the look.
