Every night, this vintage-style carboy lamp bathes our lounge in this gorgeous amber glow that feels like someone's wrapped the whole room in warmth. The glass base has a proper weight to it—cool to touch at first but gradually warming as the light inside works its magic. You can feel tiny imperfections under your fingertips where the Somerset craftspeople have preserved the character of the original glass.. My mum is always picking it up when she visits, running her fingers over the surface and asking where we found it. It's brilliant for winter evenings when you want the room to feel cosy without trying too hard. The light it gives off somehow makes everyone look their best too—a bit like those filters people use on Instagram, but it's just honest, beautiful light from reused materials.
