I really rate this narrow rustic side table for its lean profile and mix of metal frame with warm wood-effect shelves. It slots neatly beside a sofa or in a hallway without dominating the space, and its two open tiers plus front pocket are ideal for stashing magazines, remotes or a slim plant stand. It suits industrial, modern farmhouse and Scandi schemes alike - just keep styling simple: a small lamp or a stack of books on top, a folded throw on the lower shelf and perhaps a decorative bowl in the front pocket to bring a hint of texture and colour.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
