Originally named the 3130 Chair, the white laminated ash and chrome Grand Prix Chair was designed by Modernist architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. Introduced in 1957 at the Designer's Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen, the following year it won the Grand Prix at the Triennale di Milano - the finest distinction of the exhibition, after which the 3130 Chair received its new name. Now the Grand Prix Chair has been reintroduced by Fritz Hansen with new non-stackable steel legs. Expertly crafted in Denmark from pressure-moulded sliced ash veneer with a wide grain and finished with red laminate, this iconic chair is authenticated by a Fritz Hansen sticker to the base. With a beautifully sculptural silhouette, this chair would lend a touch of contemporary cool to any living area.
