I’m a big fan of the Covington bench for its solid, reclaimed-wood look and generous 1.8 metre length - it brings instant warmth and character to any room. It works equally well in a country-style kitchen or industrial-edge dining space, and can double as extra seating in an open-plan hallway or at the foot of a bed.
To style, layer a couple of textured cushions or a folded throw in natural linen or wool, then tuck woven baskets underneath for neat storage. Position a slim runner or jute mat beneath to define the bench area, and add a statement mirror or wall shelf above to create a welcoming feature.
