Description

Snuggle down with the Christmas Fair Isle Throw with Sherpa Back in Red. Featuring a traditional fair isle pattern in a vibrant red colour, this blanket offers ultimate comfort for cosy evenings in front of the fire. With a sherpa backing, this throw blanket will keep you warm throughout the cold winter months.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Christmas Fair Isle throw with Sherpa back for its cosy, festive appeal and versatility. It’s a great addition for both traditional and contemporary interiors, adding warmth and pattern without overwhelming the space. Perfect for draping over a sofa or bed during the winter months, it works well in living rooms with neutral tones to add a pop of festive colour. Practical styling tip: fold it neatly across the foot of a bed or stack it with complementary cushions to create an inviting, seasonal feel. The Sherpa back also makes it particularly ideal for staying warm and comfortable, whether you’re relaxing on the sofa or wrapping yourself up in bed.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
