I’m a big fan of these nesting tables in dark oak because their slim metal frames and warm wood tops bring a lightly industrial edge without feeling heavy. They work equally well in contemporary, Scandi-inspired or urban loft interiors, where you can pull the smaller tables out for extra surface space when entertaining.
For styling, keep the larger table clear for a statement tray or a cluster of coffee-table books, then use the smaller tables to hold a vase of fresh greenery or a scented candle. The staggered heights add visual interest, and tucking the little tables neatly away helps keep the room feeling open when you don’t need them.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
