I’m a fan of this oak bookcase for its warm, neutral grain and straightforward silhouette - it slots easily into Scandi, contemporary or rustic schemes. The two lower drawers are perfect for stashing paperwork or media out of sight, while the open shelves showcase books, plants and cherished objects without feeling fussy.
Styling tip: mix vertical and horizontal book stacks, intersperse a low vase or potted plant to break up the lines, and leave a little breathing room on each shelf. In a home office it can flank a desk; in the living room it works well beside a sofa or TV unit. Use the drawers for less-attractive bits and pieces so your display stays crisp.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
