Long admired for its sculptural silhouette, Japanese designer Sori Yanagi's maple Butterfly Stool has been an elusive beauty to net. Originally produced and distributed only in Japan in 1954, this current version is constructed from maple plywood with a lacquered finish and brass fittings. A perfect example of East meets West, this stool is crafted by Vitra and combines oriental aesthetics with Charles and Ray Eames’ plywood shaping technology.
