For styling, pair it with a slim metal tray to turn the top into a drinks or plant stand, or place it beside a low sofa to hold a stack of coffee-table books. In a hallway you could use two spaced apart as impromptu shoe-on/off seats. Its neutral wood tone means you can layer it with soft greys, muted greens or charcoal accents without clashing.
