Description

The Folding Garden Bar from Zest makes entertaining easy and takes moments to get ready. Simply unfold the side panels, fold down the hinged shelf and add the countertop. Sturdy and well-built, it makes a great centrepiece as a freestanding bar or place it next to a wall. The shelving is ideal for glasses and drinks and there's under-shelf space for larger items. Easy to fold away and store, this multi-purpose bar also makes a great potting table or barbecue side table. Made of pressure-treated wood for maximum protection. The wood is a mix of slow-grown European pine and spruce from sustainably managed forests and PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Care information Allow your product time to adjust to its new location. Timber is a natural material which means that each item is unique, therefore changes in temperature and humidity will cause expansion and contraction. Any natural movement will not affect the strength of this product or its beauty but it can be useful to check the tightness of the screws and fixings around a month after assembly to accommodate any such movement, and from time to time after that. There's no need to treat your new Zest timber product with preservatives as it has been pressure-treated against rot for ten years. If you prefer to enhance its colour, then the best time to do so is six months after taking delivery using a well-known reputable timber preservative. If you notice any build-up of green mildew due to weather conditions, all you need to do is wash your Zest product with a solution of soft soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and leave to dry completely.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wooden folding garden bar for its natural, rustic charm and practicality. Its versatile design suits a variety of outdoor settings, from cottage gardens to contemporary terraces. It works particularly well in casual, laid-back spaces, adding a touch of functional style without feeling bulky. For styling, consider pairing it with other natural materials like rattan or wicker furniture, and keep the surrounding colour palette simple with greens or soft neutrals to highlight the wood's warmth. Practical tips include using it as a serving station during outdoor gatherings or as a dedicated space for bar carts, making the most of its fold-away feature for easy storage when not in use.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
