Description

* Expertly Handcrafted from 100% Wool * Shaped & Hand-Carved * Premium and Durable Wool Pile * Iconic "Woodland Weeds" Design The William Morris At Home Woodland Weeds Wool Rug brings nature to life with its intricate design of small flowers, vines, and leaves, inspired by William Morris’s admiration of the natural world. This highly decorative pattern is reminiscent of medieval millefleur, an artistic method of filling the background of paintings or textiles with abundant tiny flowers, flora and fauna; a technique William Morris is known to have admired. Expertly handcarved from premium wool, it features a richly textured, dimensional surface that combines softness underfoot with a striking pattern, celebrating Morris’s legacy through craftsmanship and natural beauty. The rug pictured is: 160cm x 230cm. Care Instructions:Wool is a natural fibre, and shedding is normal for a long period. Unroll your rug and leave for 24 hours during first use. Maintain your Wool rug by vacuuming regularly with a nozzle attachment, this will reduce shedding over time. Cut any loose fibres with scissors, do not pull. For accidental spills blot immediately and spot clean with a damp white cloth, do not rub or over saturate the fibres to keep them soft and plush. Add an anti-slip underneath your rug to prevent slipping. Rotate every few months to prolong the life of your rug.

Our Stylist Says

I love this William Morris-inspired wool rug for its rich, botanical design that adds a touch of nature to any space. It works particularly well in eclectic, vintage, or traditional interiors, where it can act as a statement piece or harmonise with other patterned furnishings. Practical styling tips include layering with neutral or textured textiles for a cosy feel, and pairing it with wooden or brass accents to highlight its natural motif. Given its wool construction, it’s ideal for living rooms or bedrooms where you want a warm, inviting atmosphere, and it’s durable enough to handle regular use while adding timeless charm to the home.
