Description

* Machine washable * Luxe feel velvet texture * Soft printed pile * Timeless "Blackthorn" Border design Infused with the rich detail of a classic William Morris design, The William Morris at Home At Home Blackthorn Washable Rug celebrates the beauty of nature. Created in 1982, this iconic William Morris pattern features white blackthorn blossom and violets with meadow flowers blooming from a lattice of curling foliage. Crafted from a supersoft velvet-like pile, this rug offers a luxurious feel underfoot while being fully washable — perfect for modern living. Combining the elegance of traditional design with everyday practicality, it’s an effortless way to add depth, warmth, and lasting durability to your home. The Rug Pictured is: 160x230cm. Care Instructions: Shake or vacuum to remove and loosen fibres, dirt and debris using a nozzle attachment. In the case of spillage, blot with a clean cloth. Place into the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees and air-dry flat. For best results lay flat and reshape as soon as possible. We recommend our small and medium size washable rugs up to 120 x 170 will fit most washing machines sizes between 8 - 10kg. Please check your manufacturer guidelines before washing and do not overload the drum. For Large and High pile washable rugs a laundrette service may be required.

Our Stylist Says

I love the William Morris at Home Blackthorn Rug for its classic yet versatile design, making it an ideal anchor piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Its rich, deep colours and intricate pattern add warmth and sophistication without overwhelming the space. This rug works particularly well in living rooms or sitting areas where it can soften wooden floors and create a cosy atmosphere. To style it effectively, consider pairing with neutral or muted furniture to let the pattern stand out, and keep accessories simple to avoid clashing with its detailed design. It’s a practical choice for grounding a room and adding visual interest, especially in settings that benefit from a touch of timeless elegance.

About Dunelm

Founded in 1979, Dunelm provides everything you need to create a stylish and comfortable space. From trendy designs to classic essentials, Dunelm offers quality products that reflect your personal style.

A Legacy of Home Comfort Dunelm's Journey

Dunelm isn't just another store; it's a British legacy. Kicked off in 1979 by the dynamic duo, Bill and Jeany Adderley, what began as a simple market stall in Leicester transformed into one of the UK's most prominent home furnishings retailers.

Fast forward a bit, and their first brick-and-mortar store sprang to life in Leicester in 1984. Dunelm didn't stop there, making waves throughout the decades, innovating and expanding, launching an online shopping experience, and securing its place on the London Stock Exchange.

More than Just Products...A Personal Touch

With a whopping 177 stores across the UK, Dunelm isn't just about selling items; it's about crafting experiences. Many of their stores come with cosy Pausa cafes, offering a space to relax and refuel.

And if you've ever felt like joining a community, they've got dedicated Facebook groups for each store locality. It's not just about buying a product; it's about being part of the Dunelm family. Their online platform seamlessly complements their in-store experience, promising product availability and varied delivery options.

Sustainability and Future Thinking

But Dunelm is more than its rich history and expansive product range. At its core, the company is committed to creating that heartfelt sensation of truly being at home. They've placed a solid emphasis on making responsible, long-term decisions that prioritise our environment and cherish future relationships.

85% of their growth over the past five years is credited to market share gains, underscoring their commitment to sustainability and quality.

With over 50,000 products, many of which carry the Dunelm brand or are exclusive, they promise style, quality, and an increasing emphasis on eco-friendly credentials.
