Description

Create a calm, serene atmosphere with the Violet 40cm Mixed Fabric Easyfit Shade in Blue. This large blue shade provides a soothing ambience, perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways. Its brass lining works effortlessly with any decor style, adding a soft, diffused glow to your home.

Our Stylist Says

The Violet 40cm mixed fabric shade is a stylish choice for adding colour and texture to any room. I love its versatile blue tones, which work particularly well in contemporary or coastal-inspired interiors, but it can also bring a pop of colour to more neutral schemes. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with furnishings in complementary shades like soft greys or natural wood tones for a balanced look. It’s practical too - the fabric finish adds warmth, and its size makes it suitable for living rooms or bedrooms where a cosy, inviting ambiance is desired. Hanging it at different heights can also help define zones within a space, making it a flexible and functional design feature.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
