Description
A reproduction from Vincent Van Gogh's 'Almond Blossoms' series, representing regrowth and hope. The series was made between 1888 and 1890 in Arles and Saint-Rémy, France. This archival giclee print has a handmade and hand-finished solid ash wood frame and a cotton core mount. Made in the UK by museum specialists and printed on heavyweight, matt-smooth fine art paper, it's ready to hang on your wall. Vincent Van Gogh was born in Holland in 1853. In 1888 he settled in Arles in Provence, where he was visited by Gauguin and painted his now-famous series of 'Sunflowers'. In the following year, a nervous breakdown brought him to a sanatorium at Saint-Rémy. It was during this period that he executed 'A Wheatfield, with Cypresses'. The traumas of his life, documented in his letters, have tended to dominate and distort modern perceptions of his art but the appreciation of his craft as a Post-Impressionist painter continues to grow.
