Description

The new Velvet 30cm Shade in Seal Grey and Satin Nickel adds a glamorous look to your home, with a luxurious, velvety shade providing a sophisticated accent feature for your room. The grey finish gives your room a relaxing feel, while the satin nickel lining within projects a natural, ambient illumination through the surrounding space. With easy fit capability, this shade can be easily incorporated onto any pre-existing fitting.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this pendant for its understated sophistication - the velvet shade in grey adds a touch of soft elegance that works well in both modern and minimalist interiors, as well as more traditional schemes. The satin nickel finish is versatile and pairs perfectly with a range of metal accents, making it easy to incorporate into existing light fixtures or hardware. It’s a practical choice for ceiling lighting, offering a diffuse glow that creates a cosy ambience without glare. For styling, consider hanging it in living rooms or dining spaces where you want a sleek focal point. It also looks great in mixed material setups - pair with muted textiles or natural wood tones to enhance its contemporary charm.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
