As the bottom self sits thirty centimetres above the floor, this unit provides the perfect opportunity for stowing away a few woven baskets full of household bits and bobs.

I’m a fan of this two-tier console for its clean, minimalist lines and mix of timber-effect shelves with a slim black metal frame. It suits contemporary, Scandi or industrial schemes and works equally well in a hall, living room or behind a sofa.
