Our Stylist Says
This table lamp is a versatile piece that works particularly well in modern and contemporary interiors, thanks to its sleek copper finish and minimalist white shade. I love how the tripod base adds a touch of character without overwhelming the space, making it a great addition to bedside tables, desks, or console setups. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral-toned accessories for a clean look, or add textured elements like a fabric or wicker base to introduce warmth. Practical tips include using a warm bulb to enhance the copper’s glow and ensuring the shade is the right size to provide a soft, ambient light without dominating the space. Overall, it’s a functional statement piece that combines style with practicality.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
