Description

The Lyna Table Lamp with Smoked Glass Base and White Shade in Satin brass is a striking accent to add to any room. The satin brass finish brings a contemporary feel to this art deco table lamp. Accompanied by a white shade the Lyna table lamp diffuses a bright glow of light.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its versatile mix of vintage-inspired glass and modern satin brass accents, making it a stylish yet practical addition to a variety of interiors. Its smoked glass base adds depth and texture, working beautifully in both contemporary and eclectic spaces, while the neutral white shade ensures it complements colour palettes from soft neutrals to richer tones. For styling tips, consider placing it on a side table in a living room to add a touch of sophistication, or use it on a bedside table for warm, inviting lighting. To keep the aesthetic cohesive, pair it with other brass accessories or glass decor elements, and remember to tip the shade slightly forward or backward for the best light distribution.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
