Our Stylist Says
I love the Tom Dixon Fat 2.5-Seater for its bold, sculptural form and versatility. Its rounded, oversized silhouette makes it a statement piece that works well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, especially when paired with neutral palettes like the Kvadrat Autumn fabric here. It's practical for creating cosy, inviting seating areas-perfect for relaxed living or a lounge space. For styling, consider anchoring it in a room with clean lines and adding textured cushions or throws in complementary colours to soften the look. Its unique shape also works well with low tables or as part of a modular setup, allowing you to adapt it to various room configurations. Overall, it’s a piece that balances comfort with architectural impact, making it a great addition to modern, playful interiors.

About Tom Dixon
From Bass Guitar to Design Guru
Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.
By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.
But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.
Master of Materials
Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.
Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.
His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.
More Than Just Products
Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.
From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
