Description

The new Three Layer Linen Shade gives your interior a mid-century twist, featuring a three tiered design finished in a beautiful, navy colour, perfect for creating a deep pop of colour and an accented statement in your living room, dining room or bedroom. The warm light within escapes through the middle tier, diffused into a more subtle glow to create a soothing atmosphere while practically lighting your room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this three-layer linen shade for its modern yet tactile appeal. Its navy hue adds a sophisticated touch that works well in contemporary interiors or more classic schemes when paired with brass accents or wooden features. The layered design offers a clean, streamlined look that’s perfect for minimalist spaces, but it also pairs beautifully with textured fabrics and bold colours for a more eclectic feel. Practically, it’s versatile and provides good light diffusion, making it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, or even dining areas. For styling, consider hanging it at different heights in open-plan spaces to create visual interest or combining it with other textiles and smooth materials for a cohesive, curated look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
