Hand-crafted from untreated jute and bleached jute, the Tevia rug creates an authentic, natural atmosphere. Whether you want to complete a bohemian decor or add a touch of summer to your home, this is the perfect finishing touch. Product Details • 100% jute • 2600g/m2 • Thickness: 1cm • Fringed edging • Weaving type: Handmade • Underfloor heating compatible: Yes • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No. Quality Info • Hand-woven, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities that give it its authenticity. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. • Given its artisanal manufacture, the jute rug is not suitable for an area of heavy foot traffic. Care Instructions • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape.. • To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. • New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Remember to regularly ventilate your room to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light exposure. Care Advice • Vacuum regularly • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: No • To remove a stain, immediately dab the carpet with an absorbent tissue or damp cloth if necessary. For larger and deeper stains, you can call a professional service. Dimensions • Width 120 x Length 170cm • Width 160 x Length 230cm • Width 200 x Length 290cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification scheme monitors textile products for harmful substances through an independent, international certification scheme.
I love the Tevia jute rug for its natural texture and earthy tone, which instantly adds warmth and a relaxed vibe to any space. It works particularly well in laid-back, minimalist, or boho interiors, where its organic feel can be fully appreciated. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or soft-coloured furniture to let the rug be the focal point, and add textured cushions or throws for layering. Practical tips include placing a rug under a dining table or in a living room to define zones, but always remember that jute rugs are best suited for low-traffic areas due to their natural fibres. A well-chosen placement will enhance the room’s comfort without sacrificing style.
