Price History

Description

The Tamara chandelier has hundreds of sparkling crystals that drop down from a chrome ceiling plate and rise up on a chrome hoop. The way the crystals rise and fall throughout this light really adds texture and depth to its appearance. If you want your lighting to get noticed then Tamara is the light for you. When lit up, the hundreds of crystals shine bright. This light is a real show stopper. This vintage inspired chandelier, with its beautiful opulence will make a strong centre piece within a living room or hallway.

Our Stylist Says

This chandelier makes a stylish statement with its sleek chrome finish and cascading crystal strands, making it a great choice for adding a touch of glamour to modern or transitional interiors. I love how it reflects light beautifully, creating a luminous focal point in dining rooms, living spaces, or even a luxe hallway. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with minimalist or neutral-toned furnishings to let the fixture shine, and ensure ceiling height is adequate to showcase its elegance without overwhelming the space. Practical tips include using dimmable bulbs to adjust ambience and positioning the chandelier above dining tables or conversational areas to enhance both functionality and visual appeal.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
