Description
Enhancing your interior, this statement vase will elevate the look of both a dark and daring interior scheme as well as a neutral one. Add some height to a low sideboard by displaying it with a few artificial stems or keep it simple, as it’s just as beautiful styled on its own in a living room on a side table or mantelpiece.
Our Stylist Says
I love this tall ceramic vase for its versatile earthy tones and understated design, making it a great addition to both contemporary and rustic interiors. Its warm brown finish at the base adds depth, providing a lovely visual anchor in a variety of settings. It works especially well styled with fresh or faux flowers, or even on its own as a sculptural piece. For practical tips, place it on a sideboard, fireplace mantle, or hallway console to create a welcoming focal point. To keep it looking fresh, consider pairing it with other textured ceramics or natural materials like wood or woven accents for a well-rounded, curated look.

About Barker and Stonehouse
A Remarkable Journey
Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.
Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.
Sustainability at the Forefront
From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.
Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.
Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons
Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.
They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
