Description

Part of the Nirvi collection, this sideboard combines antique iron with warm mango wood for a striking contrast of tone and texture. Its clean, understated form makes it a versatile fit for hallways, living rooms, or dining spaces, while generous internal storage keeps essentials neatly tucked away. A practical and characterful piece that balances industrial edge with natural warmth.

Our Stylist Says

This sideboard offers a beautiful blend of natural mango wood and industrial iron, making it a versatile piece that pairs well in both modern and rustic interiors. I love its functional design with glass-panel doors, perfect for displaying dishware or decorative items while keeping clutter out of sight. It works particularly well in living rooms, dining areas, or hallways where it can serve as a statement storage piece. For styling, consider layering with textured ceramics or greenery on top, and incorporate complementary colours like muted neutrals or earthy tones to enhance its organic aesthetic. Its sturdy construction and timeless look make it a practical yet stylish addition to many scheme types.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
