The luxury Supreme Kazak 48588 runner is a truly unique and totally individual hand-knotted runner. The Kazak design is mainly made by the Hazara Tribes of Afghanistan. The design and pattern of this runner has been taken from old Caucasian rugs. Beautifully crafted with the finest wool yarns which have been hand spun and dyed using only natural dyes such as cochineal and indigo, adding to the dramatic and vibrant appearance. Once dyed and hand knotted on a cotton warp base in Afghanistan this rug has been transported over to Pakistan where it has been expertly finished including washing and trimming. As such, no two pieces are the same, meaning you can add an authentic and unique piece of crafted design into your home, whilst supporting this heritage industry. The striking traditional design makes it the perfect new addition to add to the vintage home, and would fit perfectly in living room, hallway and office areas, wherever you want to make a statement and add a cultural feel.
The Supreme Kazak traditional runner in red is a versatile piece that adds warmth and character to a variety of interiors, from classic to more eclectic schemes. I love how its rich colour and intricate pattern can serve as a focal point, especially in neutral or minimalist settings, providing a touch of cultural interest without overpowering the space. It works really well in hallways, kitchens, or alongside a sofa to create a cosy, inviting vibe. Practical styling tips include layering it over a plain wood or neutral rug for added depth or pairing it with simple, understated furniture to let the pattern stand out. Because it’s a runner, it’s also perfect for narrow spaces and brings a sense of direction and flow to longer corridors or walkways.
