I’m a fan of this black-and-walnut glazed display cabinet for its clean lines and warm backing - it sits just as comfortably in an industrial-style loft as it does in a pared-back Scandi living room. The slender black frame keeps the look light, while the walnut back adds depth and a touch of natural contrast.
For styling, group objects in threes or fives and vary their heights; leave a little negative space so your pieces don’t feel crowded. Consider discreet LED strip-lighting on each shelf to highlight glassware or ceramics, and use woven baskets or decorative boxes on lower shelves to keep everyday clutter out of sight.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
