Glass architecture... In 1963, Bodil Kjær, a pioneer of modern design, conceived a family of four Vases as "architectural elements". Their shapes and decorations refer to the architectural elements of building facades. Cassina relaunches production of the "Skyscraper", the Danish architect's largest vase model.
I love this tall, minimalist vase for its clean lines and versatile design, which makes it a timeless addition to various interior styles. It works particularly well in modern and Scandinavian-inspired spaces, where its geometric form complements simple, elegant decor. Practical styling tips include filling it with single-stem blooms or fresh greenery to create understated focal points, or leaving it empty for a sleek, architectural statement on shelves or side tables. Its transparent glass allows it to blend seamlessly with different colour schemes, and its structural design adds a subtle sculptural element even when unfilled.
