Description

Simon Squirrel Tabe Lamp, Grey

Our Stylist Says

I love this little squirrel lamp for adding a touch of playful charm to a variety of interiors. Its grey tone makes it a versatile piece that works well in modern, scandinavian, or even eclectic settings. I recommend placing it on a bedside table, bookshelf, or a quirky desk setup to bring personality without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tip: pair it with other neutral or subtly textured accessories to let the quirky design stand out, and consider using a warm bulb to soften the grey and create a cosy atmosphere. It’s particularly great for creating a fun but still tasteful vignette in kids’ rooms or casual living areas.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
