Description

Silentnight's Collection quilted slate grey divan base comes with a regular tension Recover mattress. A headboard is not included. About the mattress: Sustainable sleep has never been easier. Silent Night's Miracoil mattress has a soft sleep surface and is made with upcycled plastics for a great night’s sleep. Open coil spring system and Eco Comfort The open coil spring system offers ample support and the familiar feeling of a traditional mattress. Made with a Miracoil® support system which provides zoned support where you need it most. Scientifically proven to improve your spinal alignment and posture, the unique spring design means when you move throughout the night you won’t feel a thing, meaning you'll enjoy a more restful night’s sleep. Eco Comfort Fibre Layer This Mattress features an Eco Comfort Fibre layer, made with sustainable fibres which are extra breathable and perfect if you get hot during the night. Eco Comfort fibres are made with recycled plastic waste including bottles. SEAQUAL™ technology Recover mattresses contain SEAQUAL™ technology which uses Upcycled Marine Plastic to make mattresses. SEAQUAL™ works with NGOs, fishermen, authorities and local communities to help clean our oceans. Marine litter from our beaches, oceans, rivers and estuaries is collected by clean-up programs. It is then sorted into different material types and the plastic portion is cleaned and transformed into Upcycled Marine Plastic, which can then be used to produce high-quality mattress textiles and covers. Try before you buy This is an important purchase and it’s worthwhile to try your choice of mattress in-store to make sure it's right for you. Our store Partners will be able to tell you more about its benefits, and recommend options based on your needs. Extend the life of your new mattress with a durable and breathable mattress protector.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Silentnight divan base and mattress set for its versatility and clean, understated look. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, where its simple lines and neat finish can complement other neutral or muted tones. Practical styling tips include pairing it with crisp linen or duvet covers in natural fibres for a contemporary feel, or adding textured cushions and throws to create a cosy, layered look. Its regular tension mattress makes it ideal for a variety of bedroom styles, providing both comfort and practicality. To keep it looking its best, position it close to the wall or under a window with light dressings, and consider using a subtle bed skirt to conceal the base for a sleek finish.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
