Description

This graphic hanging planter features ropes and the sgraffito technique, a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting colour. Perfect for your vining houseplant collection.

Our Stylist Says

I love this hanging planter for its blend of craftsmanship and versatility. The sgraffito design adds texture and visual interest, making it a real statement piece whether in a modern or boho-inspired interior. It works well in spaces with neutral tones, serving as a subtle focal point, but can also complement colourful schemes with its intricate patterns. Practical styling tips include pairing it with trailing plants like ivy or string of pearls to enhance its hanging feature, and hanging it at different heights to create an interesting visual dynamic. It's perfect for adding greenery to kitchens, living rooms, or even bedrooms, where it can bring a touch of nature while maintaining a curated, artistic aesthetic.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
